Bailey Discovery D4-2 Review
The Bailey Discovery D4-2 is one of the lightest caravans around and only weighs 995kg fully loaded. This means it can be towed by many cars.
The Exterior of the Discovery is finished in two toned ‘Polar white’ and ‘Dove Grey’ GRP Skinned panels which look stylish, sleek and modern. The Rear of the Discovery has a curved awning rail which allows the bespoke Prima Awning to be fitted around the back of the discovery.
Moving to the front you can have the option of ether a bike carrier or a front lockable storage box and an Alko Stabiliser to aid with towing. The Single front window looks different, however lets plenty of light in.
Moving inside of the Discovery the soft furnishings are finished in ‘Mendip ash’, ‘Lana Grey’ and ‘Anthracite’ furniture features. They looks premium and feel comfortable. The Sofa’s are 6”7 x 2”1 meaning they can be used as single beds easily even for someone of my height at 6”2. The fold down occasional table allows you to enjoy a coffee and watch the view through the full height front window. Two USB Sockets in the lights allow you to charge your phones and the 12v internal lights illuminate the inside of the caravan.
The Kitchen area is large enough for two people and has a 3 burner gas hob, Combination Oven and Grill and Dometic 3way fridge. The Nordic Stone worktop matches the seating but can become make the interior look slightly dark in low lights. However, it stops and pesky scratches from appearing.
The Bathroom is a fully lined shower wet room and features a high flow Ecocamel Shower head. The Bathroom feels large and is large enough to change and shower inside. It also has the benefit of having a roof light meaning any unwanted steam or smells can be expelled.
On the Whole the Discovery D4-2 Caravan is a compact small caravan perfect for a couple of single traveller. It feels light and airy and looks stylish and modern.
I have linked a video I made last year which features the whole Discovery range and also a small video just of the D4-2.
