About the area: Heulwen is located in Cardiff where the beautiful coastline and award winning beaches of the Gower and Pembrokeshire and the beautiful Bannau Brycheiniog are all within easy reach. There is even a lovely campsite a stone's from her location if you feel like exploring Cardiff itself before hitting the road.

Description of Beds: Heulwen comfortably sleeps 2 adults in a full sized double bed which is made up of the larger sofa and additional bed boards, excluding the shorter sofa. She does now have blackout curtains to make sure you can get a good nights sleep!

Description of Seating: There are three belted seats in the front (including driver), all with headrests. The main living space can comfortably seat 4-6 people.

Description of Electrical Setup: Heulwen has a full leisure battery set-up with charging from the large solar panel on the roof. There is also an electric hook-up point which allows for standard UK sockets to be used. Running from the leisure battery alone are 2 twin USB charging points.

Parking: If you drive to collect Huelwen, there is only street parking available. This can be limited at busy times but you would be welcome to park in her usual spot. A resident's permit can be provided if needed. If you come by public transport, the owners may be able to pick you up from Cardiff Central and the National Express bus station is a 10 minute walk away.

Cooking Equipment: Heulwen is stocked with pots, pans, cutlery, a kettle and coffee maker. Everything you need to cook up a feast is included; mugs, bowls, dining plates, cutlery for 2, wine glasses, a chopping board, a kettle, large and small frying pan, large and small saucepan, cooking spoons, 1 sharp knife, a tin opener, corkscrew/bottle opener, a colander, washing up bowl, and small dustpan and brush.

Water and Sanitation: There are large removable water tanks in the cupboard under the sink for fresh and wastewater. The fresh water is supplied to the sink via a pump. Water can be heated in the kettle if needed. A porta-potty can also be provided if required.

Audio Equipment: Heulwen's head unit has a digital radio and bluetooth connectivity to play music.

Type of Heating: Heulwen can keep you warm and toasty if the temperature drops with an inbuilt diesel heater that warms up the van quickly.

Pet Information: Heulwen is pet-friendly but we ask that you help to keep her clean by taking care to dry the woofers down after they've been out playing in the water or mud!

Extra Information: Heulwen means ‘sunshine’ in Welsh and her conversion was beautifully completed by Contour Campers who are based in the Lake District.

Conversion Story: Heulwen started life as a DHL van and was converted over a year with the help of a local company (Camper Family Cymru) for the first fit, and Contour Campers for their beautiful furniture and final fit. I saw Contour's furniture on Instagram and instantly fell in love with the beautiful lines, use of natural wood, and simple and elegant designs. I wanted her to be spacious, sunny and open. I wanted good storage but didn't want her to feel overwhelmed with cabinets. I also wanted to have space to share time with friends inside! She has 360 degree windows so you can make the most of beautiful views.

For that fortnight of hot weather, she also has aircon in the cab!

About the Owner: I undertook a career change over 10 years ago and spent a couple of my training years living during the week in a VW camper with a pop-top. After dealing with very cold winters and efficient but crammed facilities, when I finished training I wanted a different kind of van. One that I could stand up in and stay warm, and one that could feel spacious and open so I could relax in it. That was the start of Heulwen's journey. When I was researching options for designs and layouts, I came across Quirky and found the best set of vans to inspire me!
