Description of Beds: Amber sleeps up to two adults and one child, with a fixed double bed measuring 140 x 180 cm and a comfortable memory foam mattress. The bench seating easily converts into a bed suitable for a small child. We can supply bedding or you’re welcome to bring your own.

Description of Seating: There are three belted seats in the front (including the driver). The main living area has bench style seating designed for three people, with a pull out dining table in between.

Description of Electrical Setup: She is equipped with a 100w solar panel and a 100 hour leisure battery. There are 2 USB points in the main living area, with enough power to charge phones and tablets. In the cab there are 2 extra 12v sockets, and a further USB socket. The garage part of the van, under the double bed also has a 12v socket to use.

About the area: Amber lives just outside of Guildford in Ash Parish, on a quiet residential road. Ash station is a 5 min walk and her owners are happy to pick you (and your luggage!) up. If you wish to drive, you can leave your car on the drive for the duration of your holiday.

The M3 is just 10 mins away making it easy to get started on your holiday. The south coast including the New Forest is about an hour’s drive.

Parking: If you’re travelling by train to Ash station we’re happy to collect you. If coming by car, you’re welcome to park in Amber’s usual spot which is on a driveway in a quiet residential street.

Cooking Equipment: The kitchen is well equipped with all you need to cook a delicious meal. The kitchen set-up comes with a two-burner LPG gas hob (with an underslung gas tank), sink with powered tap and plenty of worktop space. There’s tableware for four, cooking utensils, two saucepans, stovetop kettle, small cafetiere, chopping boards, sieve, mixing bowl, kitchen knives, scissors, storage jars, small dustpan and brush, washing up bowl, tea towels and dishcloths. A large Dometic fridge is powered whilst driving so with care can keep food fresh for longer. This sits beneath the bed and is accessible from the living/kitchen area. An extractor fan blows air in or out to keep Amber feeling fresh in the summer and keeps moisture out when cooking.

Outside, Amber has a gas point where a portable BBQ can be attached to enjoy cooking in the outside air.

Water and Sanitation: A 25 litre tank of fresh water and a 25 litre greywater tank are positioned under the kitchen sink and can easily be emptied and refilled. The fresh water tank supplies the kitchen sink which has an electric powered pump for the tap.

Amber has a mini tiled bathroom area underneath the larger bench seating. This has a shower tray with drainage that soaks away underneath the van (eco-friendly products needed if wild camping and if on a campsite a bowl needs to be placed underneath). A copper rail can be assembled and a shower curtain can be hung up to create an indoor shower. The shower is a cold-water USB powered pump that attaches onto a discrete hook, hot water is from the kettle only.

Audio Equipment: The front cab comes equipped with Bluetooth so you can connect your phone.

Type of Heating: She is heated by a quiet, state of the art LPG-powered heater with a large underslung gas tank. The heater was professionally fitted together with the underslung tank and gas hob. There is a thermostat and timer meaning that you can go out for a walk then come back to a toasty warm van on those chilly days. The gas can be topped up at LPG stations across the country and lasts a long time.

Extra Information: There are tinted windows on either side of the living area allowing you to take in the outside views.

Storage areas line each side of the living area and there is room above the cab. Underneath the bed is a large ‘garage’ which is accessed via the back doors and provides lots of storage space.

Conversion Story: Amber was purchased as a second-hand van from Citroen by her previous owners and was lovingly converted in the french countryside. She had a few adventures travelling around the French Alps and beyond before coming back to the UK.

She has been well looked after and is a pleasant and easy drive.
