Description

Description of Beds: Atticus sleeps two adults in a comfortable fixed bed measuring 165x145cm. For taller guests, the bed can be extended to accommodate.

Description of Seating: The camper has three belted front seats, with enough space to accommodate 1 or 2 in the cabin comfortably, or a snug 3. Three camping chairs will be provided for sitting outside the van along with two camping tables.

Description of Electrical Setup: The van has two leisure batteries, powered by the engine and solar panels. 4 UK plug sockets are available. Just running off solar should generate enough electricity to power the fridge, lights and phone charges for several days, so if you find a good spot - you can stay there!

About the area: Located just off the buzzing St George Park in east Bristol, with easy access to the M32.

Parking: Parking is not a problem in east bristol and there are no restrictions, so there should be plenty of options to leave your car for the duration of your trip. Do be aware there is a low emission zone operating in central Bristol, so it is advised to leave the city by avoiding this area. Look online for more details.

Cooking Equipment: In addition to the two gas hobs inside, there is a single gas burner that you can use to cook outside. Atticus has everything you could need to cook up a feast, including cutlery, plates, pots and pans, and basic cooking essentials. A percolator is included for strong morning coffees. Washing up bowls, a dustpan and brush and cloths are included.

Water and Sanitation: There are 2 x 10 litre removable water tanks stored in the back that supplies water to the sink via a pump.

Type of Heating: There is a gas operated heater for cold nights. This will heat up the van in minutes and ensure you will be perfectly comfortable in any weather.

Conversion Story: Crafted in wood, Atticus has been a labour of love by two generations of owners. Originally converted in Devon and then moved to Bristol where we bought him three years ago, we've since worked on perfecting the internal design and layout. Because we use it too, you can be sure we've worked hard to create a van that is well-designed, practical and comfortable to live in. For ultimate freedom, we've kept the exterior very basic to make wild camping less conspicuous. But don't be fooled by his looks! Once inside you'll feel immediately at home.
