At around 5:45 p.m on Thursday 6th December the mechanic was repairing a motorhome at Karl’s Auto Body and Repairs when the motorhome he was working on dislodged off of the levelling system and fell straight on top of him leaving him trapped underneath it.
Emergency crews worked to free the mechanic but unfortunately, the 33-year-old died from his injuries that he obtained at the workshop in Springfield Township, Delaware Country.
Responders were called to the incident and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials say they have not yet released the identity of the victim pending the notification of his family. Officials continue to investigate the incident.
A similar incident happened earlier in the year around March time in Canada when a man in his 60 lost his life after the RV he was working on fell off of its blocks whilst he was working underneath it.
Police say the man was found pinned beneath the RV.
This incident happened in the Kenilworth neighbourhood at about 3:30 p.m. on a Saturday and was not treated as suspicious.
