I stayed at Lavender Lodge last weekend and found the grounds nice and clean, with an easy check-in process. The lady was very helpful. Previously, we stayed in Sage Lodge and decided to give Lavender Lodge a try this time.
The lodge itself was quite spacious, with plenty of room for a larger party. However, several things fell short of our expectations. Starting in the kitchen, both ovens need maintenance; one was unusable as it just produced black smoke. There was also a lack of glasses, and we had to buy plastic ones the day after our first night.
On our first night, we had no hot water and had to wait until 9:30 PM to shower. Additionally, the sofa in the living room was broken with a smashed arm. The hot tub needed maintenance as well, and the outside area was unacceptable-the sofas and chairs were unusable. The weather was great, but we couldn't sit outside because no one had cleaned up after the last guest. The provided brush was unusable, with no more hair on it than a Sphinx cat!
The bedroom lacked furniture, with no cupboards or mirrors, making it quite inconvenient. The bathroom was okay, but there was mould in the shower around the water trap and nowhere to put shampoos and towels. Overall, there was a total lack of essential amenities.
Overall, the lodge needs a lick of paint and a freshen-up.
I wouldn't stay here again.
