About Lightwater Tarns Country Park

Would you like to own your own piece of paradise with tranquillity and seclusion thrown in, which is open for a full 12 month holiday season?

Well at our beautiful Lake District holiday park complete with its own private tarn, you can.

In unspoilt Cumbrian countryside situated on our working family beef and sheep farm and a few free range hens, with the breath-taking backdrop of Whinfell and Howgill Fells, you can enjoy nature on your doorstep, watching the resident Roe Deer regularly grazing on the lake edge, the ducks, moorhens, Canada Geese, swans, the fish, even water voles.

We have footpaths on the doorstep and pretty surrounding country lanes. We have some excellent local walks, with St Thomas's Church within 10 minutes of easy walking.

As we are only 1 mile from the A6, the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Pennine Way and M6 motorway are within easy access (and Windermere is approx 15 minutes by car).

Each of our 20 pitches has been designed to accommodate the new era of 16/22 foot wide luxury homes, with 12 having LAKE EDGE FRONTAGE - all have fantastic views of the lake. Each pitch has a concrete base, piped bulk gas, drainage, electricity, mains water and Freeview cable TV. Our site is WIFI enabled. Our own professional joiner can fit personalised decking if required.

Lightwater Tarns Country Park accommodates Holiday Homes over a 5-acre area on the edge of the Lake District. We're proud to be able to offer a 12-month, year-round Lake District holiday home license.
