We're looking to sell our static caravan at Suffolk Sands Holiday Park, near Felixstowe in Suffolk. The caravan is a two bedroom/6 berth 2013 Delta Destiny and we've owned it from new, and it's still in immaculate condition. It is fully double glazed with gas central heating, and comes with a nice side-deck, a recently laid patio area, parking for three cars, and the caravan is fully skirted beneath. In total we paid £55,000 for the caravan and decking when it was new, and are looking to sell it for £30,000 which is considerably cheaper than the park would sell it for. The price includes site fees and rates for the remainder of 2019, new gas & electric safety tests, and we'll also cover the private sale commission that the park charges.
The caravan is very good size at 38` x 12`, and has an unusual closed lounge layout, where the kitchen and lounge are separated by a wall. This closes the lounge off completely, and makes it cosier and more homely than the open-plan layouts in most caravans, and that's one of the main reasons we bought it. The lounge comes with a free-standing sofa and 2 armchairs (one of which is an electric recliner), and the TV is mounted on the wall. We replaced the original fixed furniture with something more comfortable and will include it with the sale. The lounge also comes with a feature fireplace, a coffee table, and some storage shelves for DVD's etc. There's also a door which would lead out to a front decking area if you wanted to get one built.
The kitchen-diner is a good size, and comes with a built-in dining area, an integrated fridge & freezer, a gas oven & hob, and lots of storage cupboards.
The caravan has two bedrooms, and the master bedroom is a very good size. It comes with a double bed, an en-suite toilet, a dressing table, a large double wardrobe, bedside cabinets, and overhead storage lockers. There's plenty of room to move around the bed, and it's a quiet room as no cars pass behind. There's also a family washroom with a large shower cubicle, a toilet and a sink.
Suffolk Sands Holiday Park is situated right on the beach, and has the benefit of a long 11.5 month owner's season (only closing for the last 2 weeks of February). It's a fairly small and quiet park, but owners are allowed to share the bigger facilities of its sister park, Felixstowe Beach, which is about a mile away and caters more for holidaymakers and families. Suffolk Sands is the quieter of the two parks, so tends to attract an quieter/older crowd. Onsite there is an indoor heated pool, adventure playground, a bar & restaurant, an amusement arcade, and a shop. The beach is sandy and is an ideal place in the summer.
Felixstowe town centre is only a short drive away, and is a traditional seaside resort with a pier, amusement arcades and funfairs, lots of bars and restaurants, a lovely promenade, and plenty of attractions nearby. There's also a choice of golf courses nearby, a marina and a water-sports centre.
