Fred the camper is a bright yellow ray of sunshine, here to brighten your day and is an excellent adventure companion for a wide range of sports and escapades. Packing Fred ready for adventure is easy using the versatile loading options; if it’s boards or a roofbox use the built in roof rails up top, or for bikes the Fiamma bike rack is ready to easily accept a couple of cycles. If there’s extra gear or a boat then hook a trailer onto the towbar and let Fred’s powerful engine do the hard work. (If required we can also hire roof box and/or trailer) Equipped with 2 swivel captains chairs up front and a hydraulic-assisted R&R 3/4 bed in the rear, converting from travel mode to spacious living space is quick and easy. Once converted to camping mode, quickly erect the Kyham drive-away awning and connect it to the van to create a spacious interconnected living space. For extra accommodation for mates or kids, there’s even an optional inner tent. Once you’ve pegged it all down and set up your camp chairs and table, you’re all set to turn on the gas and boil the kettle or choose a chilled drink from the fridge (there’s even ice in the freezer compartment for that full Glamping experience!) If you’re on a site with electric hook-up, simply connect the cable and enjoy endless battery life thanks to the smart charger and you can plug all your devices and even a travel kettle or blown air heater to the various sockets throughout the van. Fred is equally happy away from electric hook up for a few days for that true off-grid experience and includes 16 litres of onboard water and 13 litres of grey waste, as well as a compact 10 litre chemical toilet. Whilst driving, Fred works hard to charge both batteries and the super-efficient fridge and LED lighting use minimal power. For those cold nights a 7 day programmable Eberspacher heater is fitted which combined with sheep’s wool insulation quickly transforms Fred into a cosy post-surf haven. If it gets too toasty however, slide back Fred’s electric sunroof to cool off or just use it to indulge in a spot of stargazing. Wherever you decide to set up camp, Fred’s versatile interior will provide you with a comfortable space to live, cook, eat, relax, and sleep. The kitchen space is fully equipped with a 2 burner hob and sink with cold pumped water, as well as crockery, pans, utensils, and of course a copy of the Campervan Cookbook for the ultimate guide to living on four wheels and cooking on two rings. Come night time, the sofa can be converted into a bed at the slide of a lever and the bright working lights can be switched for subtle mood lighting to create a cosy and comfortable bed using the bedding supplied to settle down with your favourite book and cup of Cocoa before drifting off to dream about tomorrow’s adventures!
