This Carlight coach built caravan was built in 2001 and cost over £32,000 when delivered to its lucky purchaser.

It is in excellent condition and is a tribute to the quality of workmanship for which the Carlight company were renowned. Their caravans are frequently referred to as the "Rolls Royce of Caravans".

Its layout has twin fixed single beds, with tops that can be moved out from the windows to extend the area for sleeping. All windows have fly screens and blinds and there are quality velvet curtains and scatter cushions in green.

The kitchen has a four burner hob and grill/oven. There is a wooden cover over the oven and this doubles as a tray. When not required it can be stored alongside the free standing table, next to the generous wardrobe in the dressing area at the rear of the caravan.

The caravan has vast amounts of storage, the oak veneers are matched across the panels and the workmanship is such that the door insides are as well finished as the outsides. All drawers are constructed from a lightweight hardwood with beautifully finished dovetail joints. Piano type hinges are used whenever appropriate.

A 'double decker' cutlery drawer is fitted adjacent to the sink.

A Reich mover is fitted and an ALKO hitch adds to the excellent stability when towing.

The caravan is supplied with a full set of 'Carlight' etched crystal glasses (4 each of sherry, wine, whisky and water). It also has a Wedgwood 'Mirabelle' 4 piece dinner service with teapot, milk jug and sugar bowl.

The caravan's weight ex works is 1475kg. (unusually this includes the weight of the fitted mover). It has an upgraded axle and maximum permitted weight is 1800kg. Maximum payload is, therefore, a generous 325kg.

Front, rear and roof panels are made of high quality glass fibre. The roof has inset lantern windows which allow good ventilation in hot weather.

Above the kitchen is a Brutsaert powered fan. When the 162 was designed the opportunity was take to improve the overlap joints between the roof and the front and rear panels. This means that protection against water ingress is improved over earlier models.

The shower room/toilet has a cassette toilet, a quality cabinet and airing cupboard. A patented design allow a shower screen to be folded out around the user (so much better than a shower curtain and an economical use of space).

For heating there is an electric fan based heater which runs at 500W, 1000W or 2000W, A Trumatic gas heater can be run with or without the fan.

A three way Electrolux fridge with large ice box is fitted.

Your chance to indulge in luxury caravanning at the reasonable cost. Viewing welcome near Bedford.
