The jaw dropping Celtic Rambler pulled by Nissan Navarra, both together from new. Always a surprise when people come on board for first time. Space and headroom stunning. The list of "toys" alone separates it from many new vans. Twin bike rack on rear (removed my preference). Superb automatic satellite system, just press the button and the recently updated magic box will raise and locate the satellite more accurately and quickly than you would think, Fascinating to watch as it nods its way to optimum. In the Caravan is a socket used to link a "freesat" box of whatever type and enjoy HD programmes on a huge range of free services. Football or motor racing in the middle of a field. The inverter runs our 42" tv and tuner when not on mains. Note its much nicer for tv viewing than sitting facing across the living area trying to screw head around. The living area is upholstered in soft grey fabric, warmer we find than leather and the seating has two wrap-round movable seats that can be used to make a second bed to lie on to watch tv in evening or for more cosy seating when eating with guests or family. Either the table converts to a double bed or we prefer the curved units and blankets, works well for even a tall guest. I do consider it more luxury for 2 but quite adaptable for 4. Loads of room on floor for a freestanding cot. Bathroom new sink taps, power shower from powerful onboard pump. Note you have some 200 litres of freshwater, even my wife hasn't managed to empty it yet. Same amount grey water and poss 80 Ltr loo waste contained.
Navarra,New on board air compressor. Autobox and cooler replaced by separate external aircooled double system. Engine total rebuild, very torquey just whats needed. "Pedder" highest rated dampers at rear and new springs a few years ago, stops float after a bit of towing. air con cruise control, sat nav, note there is a full sized alloy spare. If it's needed it's been done.
Caravan serviced in Keighley at large HGV garage. Brakes etc checked and serviced. Note this unit has airbrakes and suspension plus airbags for tow vehicle.
Batteries x 2 underneath, replaced about 4 years ago. All the extras original to the caravan from new. Inverter, charger. Auto satellite system. On the roof the only bit I have removed but not replaced is the solar panels. the wiring is there and all the electrical bits for charging when off mains etc.
Cooker replaced. 4 burner grill and oven. I will often use an electric twin hotplate unit and or a small electric portable oven to save gas. twin gas tanks at the two front lockers with auto change. Underfloor, central heating fluid replaced, gas checked and serviced by qualified caravan service agent local to me. All interior down lights replaced by LED.
Huge internal storage space including under the bed. Shower, electric flush loo. Note this and the grey waste is disposed of through a large diameter pipe into a drain or into a "blueboy" carrier to be emptied. There is NO cassette system. New tyres over last few years. A good way to start this type of luxury, roomy touring. Remember, once you are on site you still have the tow vehicle 4 seats, to tour round in. you dont have to look for busses etc.
Cleaned and ready to go. I would even provide tv if wanted. Note there is also a built in conventional tv aerial with amplifier. lots kitchen storage and cupboards. mains sockets all on own fuse, twin and single in kitchen area. 2 speed extractor fan with down lighters. All the stainless steel cupboards have individually switched down lighters as well as a twin florescent overhead light, this would easily accept matching Mains LED units for optimum battery life.
The bedroom closes off from the rest of the van by a dual purpose door. This means you can stop on a tow and go lie down for half hour in serious shade and catch up. In the bedroom are his n her light switches and mains sockets. Plus wall switch for main overhead light also mains socket and shelf near door ( I use for razor charging phones ipad etc)
Huge slide out, one of the main features of these type of 5th wheel, is operated by a rocker switch simple and effective.
Front struts are electric and at the rear are two heavy duty conventional jacks if you feel need a little more stability.
The alarm is scary! all external storage and rear window and door alarmed. Very loud.
Towing is easy, hardly any sway from wind or passing vehicles. cruise control allows relaxed motorway towing.
Note there is a full check list for coupling and uncoupling that is easy and common sense to follow. A loud click and your hitched! rem to lift up the tailgate. there is I am sure a lot more but I only remember when on site! for those with adventure on their side I would include Hyundai 3000 sei generator. needs new battery for remote start. Too much for me to lift now so I stick to the Honda 1000W, though for a buyer with real interest, anything is negotiable. Even the little Honda will charge the battery through the 20w twinbank unit as well as running tv and lighter stuff.
I also have a 2.4kw frame generator with its own mini tent also suitable for the other generators.
My reason for selling is my age and loss of sight in one eye. Said this for several years, then we go a way in it and change our minds.
There is potential for delivery within reasonable radius and some instruction. I had to get in and drive it back from the south! there is lots on u tube about reversing an articulated vehicle.
Can be supplied with bedding, and basics ready to roll. just add food and yourselves.
I would like someone to enjoy and take over this amazing outfit.
We could consider exchange for suitable caravan (still have our original tow car) or motor home
