Description of Beds: Merida is a 2 berth camper (or 3 if you squeeze a little one in the middle) with a king size-width bed (6′ x 5’2″). The bed is made up of 9cm foam cushions that form the sofas by day and convert to the bed in 5 minutes in the evening.

Description of Seating: Three belted seats in the front (including driver) with headrests.

Description of Electrical Setup: Victron Solar Energy Bluetooth Smart system, 12v and 240v power, 110ah leisure battery charged via a split charge system, battery monitor, an inverter and mains and 2 USB sockets. She is powered either by solar when you're off-grid, or via mains hook up at a campsite.

About the area: Merida lives just outside Glasgow, near the M74 and M8 motorways, perfectly placed to explore the beautiful mountains, lochs and beaches of Scotland. Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park is a 40 minute drive, and is the perfect gateway to the Highlands or your North Coast 500 adventure!

Parking: If you drive to collect Merida, you are welcome to leave your car in her normal spot, a parking bay in a quiet residential estate. If you come by train or plane, we may be able to pick you up from Glasgow Central or Queen Street Station (15 min drive), or Glasgow Airport (25 min drive) for a small charge.

Cooking Equipment: In addition to the two-burner gas hob, Merida has everything you need to fuel your adventures including mugs, plates, bowls and cutlery for four, sharp knives and scissors, wine glasses, tumblers, chopping board, stove top kettle, frying pan, saucepans and various cooking utensils.

Water and Sanitation: There is a 25 litre removable water tank that supplies water to the sink via a pump. She also has a 10L waste water can, and a Thetford Porta Potti is also available for hire.

Audio Equipment: Merida has an entertainment system in the cab, there is also a small free-standing bluetooth speaker in the living area so you can play your own music.

Type of Heating: Merida has a cosy mini wood burning stove making her the ultimate all season camper!

Conversion Story: Merida is Rae of Sunshine’s big sister, and the newest conversion by Simon & Em at Vanfolk in Bristol. She has been converted professionally in their usual style: off-grid and winter-ready, a luxury home from home with a bold Studio Green kitchen, crisp white lines and solid walnut detailing. All the cabinetry is handmade from scratch and paired with solid walnut in the worktop, table and windowsills. The kitchen also benefits from fire-proof Ca Pietra tiles, a ceramic baby Belfast sink, 2-burner gas hob and a Domestic Tropicool Coolbox-style fridge. They've incorporated as much storage as possible, added a height adjustable, moveable (or removable!) Lagun-style table leg to create a flexible space.
